Ross is the founder and director of strategic partnerships at BidFin. Ross’ deep understanding of software and services financing was critical in identifying the gap in the technology funding market, from which BidFin was born.
Ross’ 10 years of expertise in the finance and technology sector has seen him perform in high pressure roles for industry giants like Microsoft, where he worked in a number of roles including head of APAC for Microsoft’s financing program.
Throughout his tenure at Microsoft, Ross was responsible for establishing the customer financing program across the APAC market. Thanks to Ross’ direct influence, the APAC headcount grew to 45 people with financing originations of more than AU$450 million per annum.
With an established 30-year career spanning a variety of roles across the financial sector, Stuart Grimshaw drives the strategic execution at BinFin as executive chairman. Before joining the BidFin team, Stuart acted as CEO of Nasdaq listed financial services company EzCorp Inc. and spanned a variety of roles across Australian financial powerhouses including CEO at Bank of Queensland and CFO at CommBank.
Stuart’s diverse roles within the sector have provided him with the unique skill set needed to unpack industry challenges and approach them head on, all while providing high-level leadership to foster organisational success.
In addition to his executive chairman position, Stuart currently acts as executive director for Jungle Capital, adding further to his extensive industry experience.
Darren is the co-founder and director of BidFin, bringing to the company his well-rounded experience as a company director with more than 20 years across the commercial law industry.
Throughout Darren’s extensive career, he has excelled in a range of roles from director to corporate advisor and investor in several ventures across technology and asset management. Darren provides BidFin with invaluable knowledge, having played an instrumental role in driving the growth of several start-up and early-stage companies.
Darren is also a current Australian managing partner of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an AMLAW 100 firm with global revenues of more than US$650m. Prior to this he was a partner at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) for 12 years.
Jonathan is the chief operating officer of BidFin and brings his vast knowledge as an accomplished executive leader and acknowledged innovative strategist to the team.
Jonathan has more than 35 years of experience covering all facets of banking and asset finance including operations, risk management, legal, business process outsourcing, sales, and marketing. Before BidFin, Jonathan spent more than 20 years with Canon, where he oversaw 28,000 customers and launched its highly successful third-party financing offer creating an AU$400 million portfolio while maintaining losses well below industry averages.
Through his enthusiastic and pragmatic customer-centric approach, Jonathan has cemented himself as a trusted advisor across senior management and business ownership circles. This personable approach to business also allows Jonathan to enable major partner acquisition and retention strategies for future growth.
